The First Self-Improvement
In the past, alchemists were known as the first chemists or medicine men. They practiced self-developing or self-improving techniques to enhance their consciousness. Through their practices, they found that certain knowledge and practices could alter their DNA, brain function, behavior, cognitive ability, and physiology. This allowed them to cultivate psychic abilities, which were considered witchcraft, sorcery, or demonic by the Catholic Church and other institutions.
As a result, alchemists would use the practice of creating chemical compounds as a way to secretly pass down the knowledge of how to achieve the "Philosopher's Stone." This stone was believed to help one attain higher levels of consciousness and psychic abilities.
Today, science and chemistry have shown that certain practices can activate parts of the brain to sense electromagnetic fields that are not normally perceived. However, these abilities have been tied to mysticism and the occult, and have been demonized by religious institutions. This is because the mind has an inherent ability for telekinesis, clairvoyance, claircognizance, clairaudience, astral projection, and more. The Church and government have prohibited the use of these abilities and have kept people in the dark about their existence.
It is important to question everything and seek knowledge for oneself, as the routine teachings of society may not always reveal the truth. Those who do not seek out knowledge may never discover the truth.
